Hello everyone. Hope you all had a relaxing weekend. I have been playing more Balatro and Nightreign, but I spent this morning readying another playthrough of New Vegas that I will be undertaking soon. Have a good week everyone!
I’ve been trying to play Stalker 2 but my god, I’m on medium settings and it’s barely playable with frame generation on.
Silksong update, some of these boss runbacks were designed in a lab to piss me off.
The one for Last Judge has to be the worst.
I had to do it so many times by the end i could do it without breaking sprint
I dusted off the OG hollow knight. I got all the way to the end when I played it then didn’t beat the radiance. Figured I should do that before I buy the new one
i have beaten silksong, until tomorrow, when i try to figure out if there is a different ending and how to get it
It was gonna be Silksong but controller issues decided to ruin my already pitiful current life. So I guess it’s gonna be No Man’s Sky for a bit longer.
Silking it hard right now. IN LOVE with this game. It’s huge, there’s so much to do now that i’ve got (maybe) all the movement upgrades like double-jump and stuff.
Started playing Elite Dangerous again, linked up with the CIU
:0 Got into ED like a month ago and have been playing like crazy, just joined up with CIU/PPH as well
I have been playing the FUCK out of Valve’s 3rd person MOBA - Deadlock. It’s in beta and requires a player to player invite. They just released 6 new characters in the space of 12 days and it’s been great. Really hard but I’m excited for it to launch.
I have also been playing Delta Force - a really wonderful Chinese clone of Battlefield (with other non-battlefield game modes I don’t play). The weapon customization is awesome and pretty free-form and allows for a lot of different very fun playstyles. It’s basically just a successful Battlefield 2042. They even fucking nailed the characters - in Delta Force the operators are fun B-movie style action heroes, while in Battlefield the operators are more like action heroes from a property insurance commercial.
Also recently finally picked up Fursan al-Aqsa: The Knights of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It’s honestly incredible. My jaw DROPPED repeatedly, it’s so fucking sick. It’s partly a love letter to mid-2000’s FPS games and it’s absolutely hilarious and badass. Rough around the edges yes but oh my god, buy the fucking game now
Thronefall. It’s so good. It’s a tower defense wave style game with a medieval fantasy theme and cute chonky simple graphics. You also control a little hero unit guy so it’s not just sitting and watching. You can make it difficult as fuck (only if you want to). Such a banger. I;ve been playing the infinite mode trying to survive really long.
I want to start a new playthrough of “Lost Records: Bloom and Rage”. It’s one of those Telltale-like choice based games developed by Dontnod (of Life is Strange) except your choices actually have an impact and there is replayability. This will be my fourth playthrough.
I started playing Jedi Survivor this week and it’s fun. Luckily I haven’t had any performance issues so far (8 hours in) so my experience is only positive. Lots of people complained about performance, especially at launch. It still has a Mixed rating on Steam because of it.
I’m not silking my song yet since I haven’t finished the first Hollow Knight yet. Besides, the stuff I’ve heard about the increased difficulty sounds terrible. I’ll probably just play it with mods when I get to it.
I’m replaying the Mass Effect Trilogy as it’s been about 10 years since I last did. Still working my way through the ME1 portion at the moment and it shows its age with pop up text boxes instead of showing some quest outcomes & repeated planet instillations, but it is about to be a 20 year old game (!). It is still absolutely amazing the way they managed to create such a vivid, deep, and fleshed out world & set of characters first time though. The seems in the dialogue system are clunky by today’s standards but a good amount of the writing remains amazing for the time & better than a lot of what you get today. The music and art direction still rocks too.
When I haven’t had time to sit down and sink a lot of time into a game I’ve been playing Into The Breach. I really like FTL & still boot it up now and then, but when I bought Into The Breach years ago I just couldn’t get into it. For whatever reason though, this time it’s really starting to click for me (albeit on Easy for now) especially as I start to discover more of what you can do with movement/attack cancelling etc rather than always trying to clear the board like in other strategy games I play.
Grounded 2. Going pretty well. Really feel like sprinted through the available content. Especially compared to my hundreds of hours in abiotic factor just a week ago.
Still cooking on Death Stranding 2, but I did take a break from it. I might be playing it too slowly. Other than that, I’ve been playing Abiotic Factor and trying Rimworld after a long break.
Having a bit of a mental struggle getting into games right now. I’ve got that stupid thought cycle going on telling me I should be trying to monetize my time rather than just enjoying myself. I think it sucks a lot of the joy out of gaming (and other hobbies) for me.
V Jostar, his stand Silverhand, his quirky best friend Brendan, and the affable straight man - Takemura.
Just beat MGS Delta. Was my first full play through of MGS3, I think I got halfway through some years ago. Beat it on Normal in about 12 hours with no alerts and no kills, my first for an MGS game (I’ve beaten 1, 2, and both 5s)
