The quote being from a weirdo Irish-Canadian white nationalist who is known for minimizing the aboriginal genocide in Australia in particular and European colonialism in general is just perfect.

At least these imaginary commie strawmen who somehow concede to le 100 million figure have the shame to acknowledge those deaths as a bad thing, unlike eggboy here.

This is low hanging chud stuff but the guy the quote comes from really sells it.

It really is effective propaganda. Because you can just claim empathy without actually needing to be empathetic, so it appeals to the most CHUD of CHUDs, anyone can do this and appeal to almost anyone else. And the second layer works well because it is an ideal thought terminating cliche, implying that even thinking about communism makes you a bad person, literally categorising any sort of communist concept as a thoughtcrime.

Of course, it’s really, really fucking easy to debunk, literally all you have to do is point out that anti-communists are A) lying and B) often support atrocities far worse than anything they claim communists did.

But that requires knowledge of communist history, which someone who falls for this crap will never look into, because it is a thoughtcrime and makes them a morally bad person for doing so. So it is self-sustaining system of hateful ignorance.

And an additional layer; it also allows the anticoms and fascists to justify anything, because “communism has done worse.” so they can commit any number of atrocities in the name of “preventing communist atrocities” and never have to worry about any cognitive dissonance.
