I resent the implication that I cannot be unfair without leaning left or right. What if I want to redistribute all the wealth alphabetically while maintaining current levels of wealth inequality?
Literally my entire worldview can be boiled down to “bias is for the lazy and the weak-minded. Want any social capital whatsoever? Earn it.” but somehow this is seen as too unfair to the people who think bias is good, actually.
