I am new to Hexbear and was wondering what the instance’s general opinion is on the Russian Federation. Do we regard it as imperialist or anti-imperialist and support it?

I can’t believe I missed this thread, makes me sad, would’ve loved to participate.

Either way, the Russian Federation does not meet Lenin’s definition of imperialism, and as it exists in the real world, its ties to socialist countries like the PRC and its opposition to western hegemony means we critically support it. In many ways it’s deeply socially reactionary, but at the same time it does not have the massive financial capital nor the subjects necessary for imperialism, so though it’s a nationalist bourgeois nation it is materially incentivized to oppose the current greatest contradiction in the global task of building socialism, imperialism.

Though, as a caveat, this is the general stance. Many people have differing views here, and unless you repeat thoroughly liberal lines your views are tolerated even if they go against the grain.

Like they say about stepdads, it’s the Russia that stepped up

It sucks that the Soviet Union got captured by the American lich and turned into a flayed ghoul state, but it is just objectively good for socialism that they’re now fighting socialism’s biggest enemy

      Goddamn, talk about bait

You’d think they’d at least try and ingratiate themselves with Hexbear before just coming along and trying to wreck everything. It’s like wrecker 101, you need to be trusted by the community first, or else you’ll not be doing any wrecking.

It’s kind of interesting watching this kind of…for lack of a better term “anime protagonist” behaviour from him? Like everything he does is so obvious and lacking in subtlety, but he acts like he’s a brilliant mastermind, like he thinks he’s the Main Character of reality or something. I gave him some advice on being a better wrecker, I hope he listens, he always shifts between being an unintentionally funny clown and just being pathetic and sad, so I’m hoping he improves and can actually start making progress towards his goals. If he wants to think of himself as the protagonist of an anime where he has to defeat the evil Hexbear Masters or whatever, I want him to actually present some kind of genuine outwitting of hexbear at some point.
