Interestingly we had a similar discussion yesterday. Couple guys were like “I’d be too bored i would have to work just so i don’t drink all day” and man am i glad i was born in the era of videogames because if I didn’t have to work i would never run out of shit to do and if i didn’t feel like doing anything i could pay games for 12 hours a day for a week if i wanted who cares.

In construction i think they’ve really had that “work until you literally can’t anymore” mentality drilled in there deep

One thing I’ve learned about the industrial/out of town workers is that they treat the lunchroom as a sacred temple. I got shit for putting my hardhat on the table so i bet there’s an unwritten “shit yourself outside” rule too

A jobsite i worked at recently had someone draw a swastika in the bathroom. The company has a very strict policy on that stuff and they posted a $100000 reward for ratting them out.

There were a number of POC on the crew and i think every single one of them made the graffiti version of this joke. Unfortunately 50k wouldn’t be worth my career and reputation or I’d consider it

Vancouver police say several people have been killed and multiple others injured after a vehicle drove into a crowd at a street festival Saturday evening.

The incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. near East 41st Avenue and Fraser Street, where the Lapu Lapu Day Block Party was taking place.

Police said the driver is in custody.
