I was once like you are now and I know that it’s not easy
To be calm when you’ve found something going on
But take your time, think a lot
Think of everything you’ve got

A father to his son. A good song.

It’s a wonderfully written song. The lyrics are profound. It makes me think of my reckless youth, and wanting to go fast and live for today, and now things are beginning going the other way; I’m thinking about the future, my daughter and son, and what I shape I leave them in emotionally, mentally, physically.

I dunno wtf it is, I’ve been real goddamned wistful as of late and beyond the wistfulness it’s making me think of those who will come after me. I think I’m in some sort of phase of my life, I just haven’t figured out which one yet.

Sorry for dumping that on you.

No need to be sorry, friend.

Sometimes we are wistful, no matter what phase of life we’re in. Maybe this is just a time of self reflection for you, realizing some things that went unnoticed for a long time. Maybe now is actually the time to make a change, maybe it’s not, but there’s no need to feel bad about sharing that feeling of wistfulness. Take it easy, and be gentle with yourself. Care-Comrade
