This is such bs argumentation. The whole point of critical support is the fact that you can, for example, criticize Chinese leadership for what (in my view) seems like a series of callous economic and diplomatic calculations that put Chinese stability and development of productive forces over international solidarity and fighting against apartheid and genocide.
I’m not even particularly affected by China’s foreign policy (in)actions, and I feel this way. I imagine someone who sees it collaborate with the perpetrators of their suffering would have even more reasons to withhold unconditional support. Does it mean I don’t support China at all, or don’t recognize its role as one of the few nations who can contribute to a better, fairer world? No.
