This is misreported. Iran denies launching any drones at Israel so far. Reports seem to suggest these were launched from Iraq, probably proxies and smaller groups that are not part of rigid military hierarchy in Iran.

Al-Jazeera is reporting Israeli claims of only 2 drones shot down in the north, which seems to corroborate there aren’t hundreds of drones in the air all being shot down
