For real I’ll take my kids to the doctor for a lot but myself I’m gonna suffer through it and I have “good” insurance supposedly.
honestly they’re also for the profoundly physically disabled homeless who the hospital can’t ethically justify discharging to the street but who are too violent or otherwise behaviorally acute to be discharged to even the worst nursing homes. But as soon as EMTALA is overturned and unethical discharges / refusals of care are legal they’ll get discharged to the street right away.
