They really have lost the plot, they seem to have forgotten that you actually need to do something to be considered a leader worthy of getting busts made of you.
I wonder if there was a trend of the later Roman emperors to make lavish statues of themselves to try and emulate the more successful emperors without them actually doing anything to earn that acclaim?
There was a trend of later Roman emperors getting mercd within a month or two. Let’s get to that phase first before we find out about busts.
