No joke, he is in half of the photos of posts in the fediverse and I just can’t stand it, I have started to avoid news groups because I’m so tired of looking at his face. I still want to get up to speed on the news though. I wonder if they could just post photos of turds instead with the news, it would be more rewarding. Maybe some kind of filter on photos, when the Cheeto face appears it’s substituted with a turd. Is there such a filter?

Trump is the physical embodiment of “have a firm handshake and print your resume on nice paper” experience, skill, and reputation do NOT matter

President Trump shows his penis to the world, President Xi shows his penis to nobody. This is because China is woke and won’t buy soybeans. I am making fart noises with my mouth, thhhbbbbppppptttttt, and I am a very serious person and cultural commentator.

To be honest, I feel like you need crazy autism to get at the top of a communist party, just from my experience. Like, you just need some kind of crazy dog in you.

I mean, not a single one of the great revolutionary figureheads of history was entirely neurotypical. The way Mao writes, at least how it comes across in translation… that man had no interest in flowery prose, he just wanted to communicate important information as concisely as possible. That’s Autistic Communication 101 right there. Stalin was similar in his writing, but also just… so many “eccentric” behaviours that scream autism. No neurotypical man with no sensory issues wears the same clothes that much, or pitches a fit over a pair of ratty but comfortable boots. But I would do both of those things in his position, so. He had a comfort movie he knew every line to. He had a special interest in Russian history and would personally yell at Soviet filmmakers who got real historical details wrong in historical fiction.

Look. All of these guys were probably very neurodivergent, with a special interest in Marxist-Leninist theory and the practice that goes with it. I would be utterly unsurprised to discover that the upper echelons of basically every serious ML vanguard party today are all some form of neurodivergent, and you pretty much have to be to pass the official or unofficial tests and examinations for party positions of power and importance. We make excellent revolutionaries and we are very good at the actual planning of running a centrally planned economy. Or at supervising the building of train infrastructure and other transportation and roadways. We have strong senses of justice and we like spreadsheets. You’d be surprised how much of communism in practice is a giant fucking spreadsheet.

Oh, he absolutely did. No neurotypical person could have written that much on one topic. And his general behaviour, even once he was no longer a student, keeping odd hours, drinking to excess, infrequently washing or changing his linens, ignoring all else in favour of his present hyperfixation, needing monetary support from a comrade because he struggled to hold down a job or even do temporary paid work… I know at least one autistic person who’s exactly like that today, minus the drinking to excess because she doesn’t drink at all - family history of alcohol issues, past addictive personality shown with less dangerous but similar substances, she’s just not going to risk it.

We came to the same conclusion by different means, lol
