    I truly believe there is no day-to-day task more fulfilling than cooking a thoughtful meal for the people you care about. Capitalism has robbed us of that joy. I think about that a lot.

      I think about that a lot.

      I uprooted my whole life, went to a university across the world, and spent years (incl. lockdown) studying food and gastronomy to become a food scholar; I think about this stuff professionally. And you’ve nailed it lol. Imo there’s no greater good than the hospitality and care shown by a meal prepared with love. Sure, there’s a ton of stuff to pick at and analyze there, but at the end of the day there is no more universal love to human experience than the love for food.
