    I think he’d gain too little and lose too much by swinging for the fences on this one. The foreign policy propaganda is too strong and it would jeopardize his ability to critique domestic policy.

      Exactly. Although it’s interesting because the guys from Boy Boy made a video a year into the SMO explaining everything from an anti-NATO perspective and it seems like it didn’t really hamper their growth much. I guess their audience probably is open-minded enough that they’d rather accept the heterodox view than sever the parasocial relationship if they’re libs.

        Was going to say “oh but Boy Boy is a small fringe channel, they can afford to split from US foreign policy” but apparently they’re at 1.17M subs now? Goddamn

          The propaganda is pretty powerful here, at least regarding Ukraine. On a lot of things I find that people are willing to say “America’s on its bullshit again” regardless of their other political views, but they will “independently” come to anti-china views.
