How did liberals forget the rapidly escalating shelling of Ukrainian cities by the Ukrainian government that finally provoked Russia’s intervention? This isn’t secret information.
They didn’t forget. If you bring this up they’ll either block their ears and call you an evil Putler bot or smugly tell you that actually Russia started everything by sneaking into Ukraine and forcing the referenda in the east, so actually Russia started it anyway even in 2014.
(Though being completely fair, Russia’s blatant lying about having troop involvement in the early stages of the civil war doesn’t help their case at all on this front. It’s hard to have people believe that one wasn’t involved while trying to hide the obvious troops)
