It’s not Trail Forest Crew. It’s Trail Fixing Collective, he’s just forgotten the proper name of its origin.

      https://www.trailfixingcollective.com/

Est 1919 according to this image, which is buried somewhere in their website

This one is fine. Unless it’s also part of an op. I’m still a little suspicious of the claim it was established in 1919. A google search restricting results to “before 2020” turns up absolutely nothing for “trail fixing collective” so I’m dubious that ever existed before 2021 and that in turn makes the 1919 really suspicious tbh.

All of this shit smells like op to me. Feels really similar to the fuckery that Bored Ape Yacht Club was pulling and practically every argument online is really similar to the same arguments about how that nft group couldn’t possibly be nazis.

I’m not even sure that you have the right group. The WGME tweet says that TFC group is a subgroup of AMC Appalachian Mountain Club. It may not even have a website.

The 2 articles I linked were from 2016.

The URL for AMC is https://outdoors.org/ . It has captures on The Internet Archive going back to 1997.

For one though, you should not trust google search results as being a limit of known information. Google search is very bad and getting worse. Websites from before 2020 just don’t exist anymore. Old webpages get deleted or paywalled and then removed from google search results.

Also, much of recorded history from before the internet, simply isn’t on the internet.

        http://web.archive.org/web/20010402013024/http://www.outdoors.org/

e/ on the about page of the website that you linked. it says that “trail fixing collective” was established in 2021 after being inspired by the old TFC group and asks old members to contact them.

So you’re right in the sense that “trail fixing collective” didn’t exist before 2021. However, it was created based on a different group called “TFC” which was established in 1919.

Huh. Weird. It’s exactly the same crossed axes though? Like, verbatim it is the same. And for both to have 1919? Seems like far too much coincidence.

I don’t know man these situations are sus and I lean towards not taking risks with potential nazis tbh. I don’t care whether I’m right or wrong it is worth rejecting people like this on the basis of suspicion alone. If you reject them you’ll never get nazis, if you take risks sometimes you’ll be wrong and they’ll be nazis.

idk a volunteer outdoor group isnt the kind of thing id expect to have a very good documentation online, and it’s a hell of a lot of work to disguise it when you could just say your great grandpa was born in 1919 or some such BS

            The monkey nfts? Nazi op.

Also notable that they were called “Yuga labs”. “Surf the Kali Yuga” is a popular phrase among crypto-nazis, and I mean crypto not in the currency sense.

All of this shit when NFTs were relevant was a similar discussion. Crypto nazis generate the same feeling every time where it all feels slightly weird and tinfoil hat and people start questioning their own sanity but then later on everyone wonders why it was ever even a fucking debate given how obvious it was.
