88 stands for HH, 1919 stands for SS.

I hate that this shit is so pervasive it’s infected my timeline but that one does seem to be a legitimate non-Nazi tattoo for the Trail Forest Crew of the Appalachian Mountain Crew (has the full logo etc).

But he’s absolutely a hired killer from a genocidal war who doesn’t seem very contrite and who at a minimum didn’t see anything problematic about having a prominent fucking Nazi tattoo years after his so called realisation as a socialist. I don’t know or give a shit what’s in his heart, but those actions alone are reason enough no leftist should take him seriously, never mind try and put him in a position of power.

The year Hitler joined the DAP?

Edit: I saw another comment saying it means SS cringe
