So I realized besides Red Sails and Counterpunch there isn’t a whole lot of leftist blogs/news sites I go to (aside from Hexbear/.ml and grad of course). What are some good sites I can add to my bookmarks list?

I’m sorry about necroposting but it occurred to me the other day that I was completely forgetting about RevLeft Radio, which I think is very good and does a combination of recent news and looking at older historical movements and figures.

There’s also Geopolitical Economy Report, which is basically just China news and related international affairs from a SWCC perspective (which I view as revisionist, but he’s still got interesting things to say).

Oh yeah, I love Brett, Alison and Rev Left. Also Red Menace is a good one as well as Guerilla Radio.

Never heard of it, I’ll have to check it out. What is SWCC and, also, why do you view GER as revisionist?

Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, which is the title that has been assumed by the various ideologies of post-Mao China. The host, I think his name is Ben Norton, is basically working on being the biggest revisionist propagandist for China in the anglophone world, going there to study “Marxism” and so on while putting out episode after episode where basically the only purpose is gassing China up. He also puts out decently-produced videos, if you’re into that.

I think China is historically progressive (by which I mean I think it currently has a positive effect on the world), but I think Norton’s view is ridiculous. He nonetheless does know a lot and, when he is speaking negatively (of the west) rather than positively (of China), he can be pretty incisive. The disclaimer I gave was just my own compulsiveness, honestly.
