I’ve grown to think their pretty cute, but when I was like 9 being used to snails bering a couple inches big at most, going to a little zoo type thing and seeing a chonky African snail really really freaked me out

If found in the wild, these snails are known to carry a parasite called “Rat Lungworm” which can lead to death or permanent brain damage in humans.
Apparently, you can also get it from not washing your veggies.
