Handmaid’s Tale protest in Orlando yesterday.
I mean, I get the sentiment, but does everything have to be a pop culture reference with libs?
Also, signs of fascism? I think the US is way past the point of showing mere signs of emerging fascism. It’s already balls deep in fascism (sorry, gross turn of phrase, I know).
That’s my favorite part of lib protests. Even with the No Kings protests their entire list of demands was… No Kings!
one of the funniest/saddest things ive ever seen was trump at a baseball game with the whole stadium chanting at him “LOCK HIM UP”
i was like OK DO IT THE THERES 50K+ OF YOU GO LOCK HIM UP OR [REDACTED] HIM yet their chant was it
It’s the bystander effect taken to the extreme. Someone has to start it and others will follow.
For how individualistic we are It’s funny how we act in a pack.
r/Andor is a favorite of mine for this shit. Utterly obsessed with performance art and they will lose their shit at you if you ask “so what is the protest’s demands?”
Lib Andor fans would hold a “NO DEATH STARS” protest where they dress up as the Space French and hold hands and sing songs. Never mind what happens next in the show.
