“He has not confessed to authorities. He is not cooperating, but, all the people around him are cooperating," Gov. Spencer Cox said

“I can say that he has been very cooperative,” Cox continued, possibly misgendering the roommate. “This partner has been incredibly cooperative, had no idea that this was happening and is working with investigators right now.”

This has to be intentional. Shitting in one hand calling it “civility” then in the other lobbing a grenade of transphobia. Love it.

    On NBC, Cox added that the roommate “was shocked when they found out about it.”

    But when Bash again brought up whether the two were romantically involved, the governor seemed to say that is not confirmed yet: “We’re trying to figure it out. I know everybody wants to know exactly why and point the finger, and I totally get that. I do, too.”

    So it’s confirmed and then it’s not?

      Purposefully muddying the waters to squeeze whatever transphobic panic he can from this event. Must be eating him up not to be able to pin the killing on a trans person so this is the next best thing for him.

      It appears to me that the governor of Utah is getting information about this not from the FBI but mostly from the same right wing bullshit propaganda we’re trying to dissect.

        Crowder was subpoenaed because he leaked information given to him by ATF hours before anyone else. Feds have been feeding info to right wing “”“”“”“journalists”“”“”“”". Then it gets onto twitter and 4chan as a rumor. Then it gets picked up as a rumor by mainstream sources.

        Remember they also had Tyler in custody like 10-12 hours before his name leaked. The feds were trying to get ahead of this the whole time. They seem to be looping in Cox on a need-to-know basis which is what’s been leaking to right wing media.
