the issue is with modernity and social acceleration, even a communist society that only speeds up would and has made people miserable. we need to slow the fuck down. progress has only done one thing: make life faster and more unbearable. we need a different kind of life altogether. climate change is just simply human production and consumption outspeeding what the earth can regenerate.

I don’t really know of any books or YouTube channels that actually tell you what the cuisine of a place is like, they all just do individual recipes and don’t tell you what the people in a specific culture actually eat on a day-by-day basis what their most basic recipes are and the like
