Trans. HIV+. Refugee in South Sudan. Fled Uganda’s anti-LGBT law. Surviving hunger and queerphobia … holding space for my sisters. Found this space through a friend. Grateful for any solidarity. ✊🏾

This made me smile and ache a little. Your grandpa sounds like a character … grumpy but golden. I’m a trans woman living in a refugee camp in South Sudan, and it’s wild how we’re all navigating such different lives but still connecting on places like this. If anyone’s ever curious about what surviving looks like from here, my page is open. Solidarity and ice cream to you both.
If governments could actually trace every screw in a phone, they’d be able to stop weapons flowing into conflict zones too. But they can’t. So how could they micromanage tariffs?
Sharing this here too …any support or signal boosts from this space mean the world to us.🙏🏿🙏🏿

comrades. Things are harder some of us haven’t eaten, and we’re scared with nowhere to go in Juba. If anyone feels moved to help or wants to know how to support, you can DM me or check my bio.
I still believe in solidarity. Thank you for seeing us. 💜

As a proud trans woman and refugee living in a camp after fleeing Uganda’s anti-LGBTQ+ law, I read this with tears in my eyes. I’m fighting daily against hunger, stigma, and silence. I share my story to raise awareness, and I’d be so grateful if anyone took a moment to listen, Just being seen means the world to us.

This resource thread is GOLD for anyone navigating HRT safely—especially for those of us doing it without easy access to doctors. As a trans refugee, finding support like this means the world. If you want to hear my story and how I’m surviving and thriving against the odds, check out my profile.

Happy tranniversary, and thank you for sharing so honestly. Reading your words hit me deeply … I’m also trans, but living as a refugee in a camp right now, and every day is a battle to survive and stay hopeful. Access to food, healthcare, and safety is a constant struggle, but what keeps me going is knowing I’m not alone. Posts like yours remind me that trans joy and community still exist, even in pain. I dream of one day celebrating my own tranniversary in a safer place. Wishing you healing, and thank you again for being real. 🏳️⚧️💙💪🏿
