kennedy@lemmy.dbzer0.comto news@hexbear.net•Zelensky’s War on Language: Russian-Speaking Ukrainian Soldiers Face Brutal RepressionEnglish46·25 days agoyou can read my other posts if you’d like but what i am talking about here is journalism. Im not arguing the fact that ukraine would have an incentive to separate from anything russia related, what i am talking about is journalism. I am talking about how the one paragraph article with no author or evidence published by the russian government media trying to paint their adversary in a bad light comes off as propaganda to anyone who reads it.
kennedy@lemmy.dbzer0.comto news@hexbear.net•Zelensky’s War on Language: Russian-Speaking Ukrainian Soldiers Face Brutal RepressionEnglish12·25 days agoFirst, i am not american. Second I am talking about journalism here not side related topics. You’ve clearly made up your mind so i will not try to convince you otherwise.
kennedy@lemmy.dbzer0.comto news@hexbear.net•Zelensky’s War on Language: Russian-Speaking Ukrainian Soldiers Face Brutal RepressionEnglish23·26 days agoits no the point, that is not what i am trying to talk about all??? that article barely qualifies as an article and you are talking about other events that the “author” didnt even bother to mention.
kennedy@lemmy.dbzer0.comto news@hexbear.net•Zelensky’s War on Language: Russian-Speaking Ukrainian Soldiers Face Brutal RepressionEnglish45·26 days agothe article isnt talking about de-russfying in general it is specifically talking about the ukrainian government putting soldier in dicthes and beating them up as if it were true without any evidence. What kind of investigative journalism is that? You should not give it the benefit of doubt especially given the context of who owns it.
kennedy@lemmy.dbzer0.comto news@hexbear.net•Zelensky’s War on Language: Russian-Speaking Ukrainian Soldiers Face Brutal RepressionEnglish44·26 days agoThe literal article is reporting it as a fact, there’s no “alleged” statements anywhere. Their “article” is insanely short with no author and a story from one single guy with no other facts or evidence to corroborate his story. That snip is the entire piece. You dont think a news outlet owned by the russian government would have an incentive to lie and dehumanize people from a country they are trying to invade? At best its journalistic malpractice spreading misinformation. At worst it’s from the government spreading propaganda.
kennedy@lemmy.dbzer0.comto news@hexbear.net•Zelensky’s War on Language: Russian-Speaking Ukrainian Soldiers Face Brutal RepressionEnglish128·25 days agoSputnik is russian state owned media, this is literal propaganda.
I have all notifications turned off except for calls and texts. I tried the bell thing on for every channel i subscribed to on youtube it was absolutely hell. Thats what made me turn it all off in the first place. Every minute there was something new. And since notifications were on i’d also get those unnecessary shit that apps thought I needed to know right this second. Ever since i turned all notifications off my life has been so calm. Especially getting rid of the bubbles on app was so liberating.

only thing of jared leto i ever enjoyed was that one song closer to the edge from 30 seconds to mars. Was in high school when it became semi popular on a radio station. I didnt even know who tf he was. Found out he was part of the band when suicide squad came out. I wonder if they even make music anymore since he wants to be a cult leader now.
