the correct answer is probably just ask them. until then use something more casual like homie or buddy. so far no ones been upset if i asked stuff like that, even if they give me a vague answer

the tools provided by the manufacturer are windows only. im sure there may be some ways to work around it with serial stuff or whatever, but im new to hardware tinkering in this regard, so i dont want to open up too much of a rabbithole, i just want to jump in and be able to follow guides one to one

not hard at all. you’ll probably want some zip ties, and some real good wire clippers. you dont want the cable to fray, especially on brakes.

just pick up new cables and housing, and you should be good to go
