6·11 days agoYeah you seem like you know what the deal is. I basically posted that for anyone reading along in the thread. Quite a few people on this site have no clue about privacy and its kind of my hobby horse.
Since I keep mentioning privacy this is probably a good guide to post:
CleanURL’s is unnecessary if you have uBlock Origin installed:

Same thing with I still don’t care about cookies. Use the two default Cookie Notice filters in UBO.
For the Google tracking you can use Multi-Account Containers, but that’s an upgrade rather than a replacement.
I’m pretty sure a few of the Twitch ones can be solved with Tapermonkey and various scripts, but don’t quote me as I don’t use Twitch.
Just remember - the more extensions you install the easier it is to track you.
Vivaldi wouldn’t be my first chromium-based browser choice. Still too many privacy issues vs other browsers:
No disagreement there. Still worth pointing out as he’s looking for a better experience on his equipment which a non-firefox browser might provide.

What OS are you on and what other addons are you using? Something definitely odd seems to be going on with your install.

Well, at this point EVERYTHING is pushing AI, so I honestly wouldn’t use that as a barometer of whether or not the browser was any good.

If anyone is making these or other about:config changes you need to restart the browser to effectively save them.

Yes yes I know, but its as close to a “leftist” bloc as we’ve got in this dump of a country, so it serves as a good example at the very least.
Base Firefox is pretty terrible but with the right addons you can turn it into whatever you want. I’m more privacy focused so all my stuff is aimed at that. Definitely look up something like arkenfox (https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js) to get a sense of all the bullshit options you need to turn off.

Brave is dogshit for privacy. If you need recommendations on addons feel free to ask. Definitely start with uBlock Origin. Its legitimately the best thing on the internet.
You should really check out the discourse around DSA and masks. Our people aren’t exactly putting their best foot forward on this issue.
