British twitter is full of local Ukraine flag dipshits, half of them assuring each other that it must be a Russian spy pretending to be Ukrainian, the other half deciding that the suspect is a relative of “pro-Kremlin” former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych’s former Justice Minister, Oleksander Lavrynovych, purely on the basis of sharing a surname (because naturally if you wanted to do a little covert terror you’d pick someone in your family who shared your name to do it with basically no opsec).
Unless he’s announced something today I don’t think he is though. In fact we’ve vowed continued support beyond and without the US and the Ukrainian military marched in our VE Day parade last week (shamefully) as an honour.
By “throwing to the wolves” I should’ve elaborated that I meant the continuation of the war at the expense of Ukrainian lives and (inevitably) territory that Russia never even claimed in the first place.

Btw this is relatively popular surname in Ukraine and Russia, comes from “lavra” that is monastery.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov also has surname derived from “lavra”. Coincidence?
Global orthodox conspiracy incoming
That’s interesting. I knew it was relatively common, but didn’t know about the etymology.
I wouldnt be surprised if they were pissed that Keith is trying to salvage a political legacy by throwing Ukraine to the wolves tbh
