This is a completely unrelated topic but has anyone ever played the game ARMA 3? There’s this fun game mod in it called “Antistasi” that I think a lot of people would enjoy learning from, especially with friends.

Here’s a funny video for reference on the game and its mode by sovietwomble cw: gamer stuff, violence, mild sexism, homophobia, etc. They’re British so it’s not as bad as the shit Americans say

Anyways back on topic, we at hexbear do not condone this behavior and highly discourage our users from enacting any behavior depicted in the article.

I’ve played ARMA 2 but couldn’t get mods to work and the default bots are awful. Thought about getting 3, but I don’t feel like trying everything again.

Well you can play the Antistasi mod single player but it will be what lots of people would describe as “super hard mode” since you’d essentially be playing as a one-person guerilla against a significantly superiorly armed BLUFOR force for a significant amount of time until you have the necessary funds to field additional allies in your squad (who are bots and are generally armed with really dogwater equipment meaning you gotta take time to help equip them with the gear they need.)

I think the greatest lessons you can learn from single player runs is how to actually self-learn and apply Asymmetric warfare tactics as a lone player against the AI controlled enemy forces in terms of learning when and how to properly engage and disengage enemy forces, use remote controlled iud splosices for ambushes, mentally keeping track of yourself looting for better equipment so you don’t stay so long the enemy response forces get the drop on you, etc.

All great game lessons to learn and more, but remember it’s more fun with friends!
