As always, we ask that in order to participate in the weekly megathread, one self-identifies as some form of disabled, which is broadly defined in the community sidebar:
“Disability” is an umbrella term which encompasses physical disabilities, emotional/psychiatric disabilities, neurodivergence, intellectual/developmental disabilities, sensory disabilities, invisible disabilities, and more. You do not have to have an official diagnosis to consider yourself disabled.
Mask up, love one another, and stay alive for one more week.
I feel you. This is so fucked, especially given that this isn’t the first time with the foot infection, urgh. Let’s hope you don’t have to wait so long. Does the infection limit your ability to walk again?
And yes, of course it’s unjust, but to be honest, I feel like if I resign myself to accepting this, I’m killing a part of myself. I understand why you do it, love, but I’d rather be angry and upset than resigned. I believe you can get through this, because I know you’ve survived so much already.
