James Connolly (1868-1916) was a revolutionary socialist fighting for Irish national liberation; the founder of the Irish Socialist Republican Party and the Irish Citizen Army. Today 109 years ago, he was executed by British colonizers after the Easter Rising in Dublin.(PW)
