well even if 6 clients (who would have paid $70) die but the 7th pays that $500 to stay alive, the benefit manager still makes more money under the increased prices. not to mention, they can probably lay off a lot of workers from reduced inventory and production logistics.
that’s innovation. and freedom.
We all die anyway, at least this way someone profits

Are you getting your talking points from republican senators? (/s)
Because this is literally what they are saying about cuts to Medicaid……
Freedom To Die™
i appreciate informative post titles like this
I saw on some lemmy instance a lib complaing about tankies on .ml changing news titles from the source, like why tf should we just accept their headlines that help provide cover for murderers? This title is clear and concise and accurately summarizes the story.
that’s like a reddit rule because people would post misleading titles instead of using the misleading Official title.
doesn’t really apply to us correctly and accurately describing social murder but liberals don’t even know what that is.
Link aggregators are intrinsically not neutral, and it’s quite silly for redditors to pretend otherwise
“The media bias chart (which was compiled by a corporation which receives much of its funding via subscriptions that are purchased by the news companies on said chart) says CNN is neutral sweety”
NO that’s the COMMUNIST News Network
if only liberals would figure that out
My favorite is when I see Lemmitors whining about the heckin tankie brigadarinos.
Wow. My inhalers literally cost £10. And even then, I say to myself “oof, bit steep.”
Have a friend with a severe nut allergy that had to rush to the emergency room a few years ago because someone gave them a home made vegan chocolate bar and didn’t mention it had cashews in it, Epi pens cost $500 so they just don’t carry one.
That’s insane. My partner has a very severe nut and soya allergy, even a trace can trigger it… To go without one is completely inhumane.
There is a relatively new inhaler version called neffy that is typically $200 and last 2 years before expiring. It is still ridiculously expensive but worth looking into
Hasnt it been around a while? I remember Jason Statham smashing them down in Crank (2006) to keep his adrenaline levels up.
No idea about UK but in the US this one seems to be first to market and just got approved last year
Certainly Eric Adams is going to perp walk all the decision makers at this guy’s insurance company as they go to the murder trial, right?
I don’t think it’s mentioned in the article, but the PBM they’re suing, OptumRx, is owned by everyone’s favorite, United Health
It’s mentioned near the bottom but it’s good to mention anyway because no one ever reads the article.
Saw an EAbbot ad before a movie this weekend. They claimed that 42% of diabetics skip insulin treatments “because they are ashamed” in what i can only describe as a blatant lie and misdirection to their profiteering on vulnerable people. People are skipping tretments because they can’t afford it!
I sadly was relieved when I found out it was the case I was familiar with and not another high-profile asthma death from insurers.
