The point is to continually saber-rattle so that the ‘defense’ industry always has justification for funding and therefore will fund his campaign and back him in DC. A quick reminder that the DC subways literally have Raytheon ads in them, you can’t even go to a dive bar without running into a lobbyist for defense contractors.
