      only thing i know tbh is that he brought her on his poverty eradication campaigns where he’d go to various poor villages and check in on progress. idk how you could be a neolib in that sort of atmosphere at least given your dad is also the leader of the largest communist party ever

          i suppose thinkin-lenin but theres actually a lot of reasons for a communist to come to america, e.g. learning english or immersing yourself in a specific scientific field. shes a psychologist, could have attachments to patients? idk shrug-outta-hecks i tend to try to look for the best in people i guess

      IIRC she moved to the US before her dad became President, but I could imagine she stuck around because being the President’s kid is a position where absolutely everyone wants a piece of you, and (if you want to get by on your own merits) it’s probably better to live somewhere that it’s not all that relevant/recognizable to people. Her personal politics aside, it seems pretty reasonable to not -
