The most obvious pedophile in the comments is this nazi gooner:
On his profile you can see him generally talking like a pedophile, complaining about how corporate AI models refuse to generate children, posting generic gooner slop, and whining about anti-nazi content on a sub being “political”.
1- the end result looks like absolute dog water.
2- creating CSAM images and videos is the entire reason these people are excited about AI, and why they keep making a big deal out of “uncensored” models.
You’re not wrong, it sucks because I’m in the minority of AI users who’s an adult that uses it to generate my own personal smut with adults (images and text). There’s some of us out there but the power-users of gen ai are not on the up and up.
I think that’s the largest category of AI image generation overall. Gooners of all stripes just making endless mountains of pinup slop that’s just [insert character] with [insert fetish that the AI can actually do], since that’s the literal only thing that image generators can do “well”. I’d expect the overall distribution to be about the same as with like hentai or other goon slop, with the vast, vast majority being the most generic vanilla pinup slop possible and pedophiles making up a very small but very active minority.
But the AI hobbyist community absolutely has a problem of being too accepting of pedophiles in general and since the literal only purpose for AI image generation is making goon slop anyone who’s showing off how well they can get it to churn out SFW images of kids is sus, as is anyone who’s up in arms over underage content being censored (or even things like civitai insisting that uploaders maintain at least some plausible deniability when showing off LORAs for child characters).
