Hello everyone. Sorry I did not post this last Sunday, my friends got engaged last weekend so I was celebrating with them and my mind was elsewhere. Anyway, I have been playing The Outer Worlds 2. I picked the “Gambler” background and some characters in the game have made very hurtful remarks about it. I dont have a problem, I can quit any time I want. Hope you all have a good week

Titanfall 2 is the best CoD game anyones ever made and given it’s alternative future setting and lack of any meaningful story it even sideskirts the whole jingoism issue. Setting’s basically Star Wars without the Jedi.

Max Payne 3 looks really good for it’s time and while it’s a huge turn away from 1&2 if you fuck with gruffy noir detective man it plays really, really well

Spec Ops: The Line is a must play for any leftist. 3rd Person shooter, don’t look up why it’s good if you don’t know already.

Assassins Creed: Black Flag is the best pirate game anyone’s ever made

Metro: Last Light is a very good post apocalypse shooter, albeit I’d say you also would need to play the first one (which is also really good, but before that timeframe, if you count Metro:Redux the remaster that’s in there)

The Tomb Raider reboot series fits in that timeframe, I’ve finished 1 and am about halfway through Rise of the Tomb Raider. The first one looks okay, the second one looks good. They play…well enough, like a solid 7,5 / 10 but if I think they’re mostly fascinating for being such a 2013 and following time capsule video games.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is a really good shooter and one of the few that actually manages to use it’s interactivity to tell its story (as opposed to strict gameplay / cutscene separation or choose your own adventure stuff).

      Metro: Last Light

I’ll definitely have to check this one out. I already slogged through Exodus on the shittiest settings some time ago, so I’m expecting tighter gameplay on this one considering it’s linear. As for all the others, I’m not sure I jive with their settings, or I’m already spoiled (Spec Ops) or I played it like Black Flag, although I’m not sure I’d replay black flag just because I know it would now bore me to death with the non-pirate gameplay. I literally tried playing AC2 not too long ago and deleted out of pure boredom and the fact that they literally don’t have any kind of significant stealth system in a fucking game called Assassin’s Creed and you wouldn’t even be able to crouch until Unity. Truly incredible design by ubisoft.
