the checks are going to the businesses who paid the tariffs and passed the cost onto customers. And I doubt that the current government will force those businesses to roll back the price increases or pay back the customers who had to pay more. Actually the only reason I could see this happening is due to massive industry pressure trying to get what would just be a massive stimulus check from the government right into the pockets of businesses.

I’ll be happy to be able to order stuff from aliexpress more inexpensively at least.
