A friend of mine visited Vietnam for a little and on the tours the guide would talk about war crimes committed by the Americans while pointing at my friend 😂 his partner (not American) said if he tried to claim to be Canadian or something she’d let everyone know regardless lol. Still got on really well with the locals though - which speaks volumes for their humanity - and talks about how it’s his favorite country to have visited.
