    Last month, the White House reached a deal with Nvidia and competitor Advanced Micro Devices to obtain the export licenses to restart certain chip sales to China.

    As part of the deal, both companies agreed to pay 15% of the sales to the U.S. government.

    I mean is it even theirs? I wonder how the actual people that develop the stuff feel when politicians say this kind of stuff.

      Shouldn’t they be happy then that China is taking it upon themselves to block their “intellectual property” from entering the country? I guess that falls outside their pre-installed scripted thinking regarding China.

        Not really since China is basically their largest market after the US. When you make stuff you generally want to have a place where to sell it.
