I mean i get it, I don’t think a genocidal fascist like Modi deserves praise simply because he’s overseeing a good decision about which global superpower to foster relations with. It’s positive that India and China are thawing relations to a degree but would we also praise netenyahu for fostering israel’s strong trading relationship with China?

I’ve commented before about china’s foreign policy and their involvement in say israel or even sri lanka. Hell they support Myanmar and their genocidal actions. I’m not some dumb team sports person who vicariously follows politics.

My point was people wanna give way too much leeway whenever they deem fit. Like lot of people say shit about trump backtracking on tariffs or putting tariffs as some great move.

I don’t think he is sucking up to modi. If some anglosphere mf like ben norton or whoever says the same shit they’d definitely not bat an eye. But somehow pointing out foreign relations makes him hindu fascists is stretch.

Like damn same mfs go on about how Xi or putin made so many strides in foreign policy. I guess then its fine even if they support Israel.

Again there are some legit criticisms that can be levied on vijay but this ain’t one of em.

I mean, nobody here or in the tweet is actually praising Putin or Modi either, in fairness. Just the decision to pursue better diplomacy with China, I’d celebrate if Israel made the same decision, because it’d be a step in a positive direction.
