To me, if the cards are played right, the good thing that Robert Fico can do is move away from the US-led West’s umbrella, and further embrace ties with China and Russia.
That’s one thing, besides being a governing socdem - publicly opposed to the design of neoliberalism, unlike other more pro-European and pro-American forces.
Materially, this is fine (though social democracy shouldn’t be the end-all be-all)
With Tucker Carlson, while he still believes in the US-led West’s hegemony and political economy, but media savvy he is,
he tries to co-opt any discontent on the west with economically left-reformist and foreign policy dovish views, only to rally all this back into a narrative of returning to the good ol’ days of America and focusing their hatred on the main rival that is China.
Well, that’s a good question
