Well Newsome, for one. They brought attention to the issue and drew him in to the fight.
So, up until that moment, Newsom didn’t know about Republican gerrymandering, or or hadn’t occurred to him to fight it? You know something, I can almost believe that. The only part I won’t believe is that Newsom is fighting them on principal instead of showboating for a 2028 run. The smart money says he folds just like the Texas Democrats.
