They think that simply having an “idea” means that they can practically and profitably create that idea in reality, no actual labour power or skills or industry required. The US seems so far removed from actual reality that they might start getting priests and wizards to cast spells to create things for them soon.

As I said in my other comment, maybe they can get something going with Operation Stargate pumping a ton of money into the nuclear space, but with over a decade of VC funding and nothing to show for it I consider them vaporware.
