Man, I watched my first AI slop video accidentally this week.
I thought it was going to be real video and all I wanted was to watch some sappy cute video of an old dog being remembered and loved by some tigers it rescued when they were cubs, but it was some of the WORST shit I’ve seen in recent times. The audio was all fucked up, the narration was weird, the video was just this awkward slideshow cuts of something tangentially related to what was discussed. It was awful.
I’ve always avoided these things out of principle but it really made me feel like humanity is fucking doomed if people really spend their time watching this garbage and enjoy it. How is this crap all over YT? I don’t see how this shit isn’t downvoted and ridiculed to hell by the general population like it is here.
If it makes you feel better, I’m convinced the vast, vast majority of views these AI videos get are just bots. Someone too lazy to actually create content is also going to be too lazy to actually try and grow a following organically.
Golden retrievers interacting with puppies/other animals are featured heavily in this type of slop but I think my favorite are the giant snakes that are just out attacking fucking everything.
