deep fakes is kinda extra because of the potential for victimizing the subject, but you used to be able to make a few bucks drawing that shit and bad photoshops have been around for 20+ years despite the sources for those photoshops being available. People want specific because of the (para)social attachment, this also drives fanart of tifa or whatever instead of generic lady and fanfic rather than everybody just writing OCs.
