He’s done this before, I believe in the 2020 campaign. There was some rally where he was talking about energy stuff and he just start saying “they don’t want me to say the n-word. Should I say it?” and his supporters at the rally just suddenly get really excited and hootin’ and hollerin’ before he says nuclear and everyone seemed a bit disappointed.
The earliest I found from his campaign rally transcripts was March 26, 2022.
I think this might be the first time he said it. March 21 2022 on fox news live

That sounds similar to his nuclear uncle rant. I wonder if he rehearses these or if he makes them up on the fly.

He’s done this bit at his rallies for years. I used to watch his rallies frequently to see his new talking points. He would ask the crowd “Do you know what the n word is?” There was a few times when someone in the crowd shouted the actual slur. Then Trump would laugh and say “No. the n word is nuclear.” I think he was baiting the crowd intentionally to say the slur.
