Not a socdem? She’s the highest profile elected DSA member in the United States. I get that people are embarrassed in hindsight that they used to treat her with the kind of messianic fervor that they treated Bernie in 2016 or Mamdani now, but their politics really haven’t meaningfully changed. She remains the same extremely average imperial radlib as she was when NYDSA got her elected, and she acts accordingly. Despite the disproportionate attention she gets for being relatively young and conventionally attractive, I don’t think her positions on Palestine are even worse than average among DSA-electeds, especially if we’re acknowledging the former-DSA former-electeds. Rashida Tlaib’s the only DSA member I know of whose positions are consistently better, and she’s basically a coin toss away from being lynched on the House floor on any given day while the House Minority Leader cheers.
People don’t want to acknowledge that there is no legal nonviolent path to reforming this genocidal settler empire, so they keep lowering the bar for what counts as “winning”. After they’ve “won”, they act like they’ve been betrayed because their circumstances haven’t changed. These are the extremely predictable results of putting effort behind getting big tent radlibs that disavow revolutionary politics and party discipline invited onto to the bridge of the death star. They get a front row seat to watch the emperor fire the superlaser while they try to convince themselves that being in the room looking upset while the button is pressed is doing harm reduction.
is she a soc dem? as far as i can tell she’s just a run of the mill dem

I’m just saying it’s just a brand name they put on or take off as the winds blow. It doesn’t actually mean anything to people like AOC
I think she could still qualify, but only because general level of the succdems in the west is lowest ever.
