This sort of disassociation is kind of interesting in a way. This person is so far removed from any consequences that they can say something like this. To them “government” is just signing forms and “disagreement” is no doubt a sign of a “healthy democracy” therefore anyone who opposes her just voting on a silly little bill just hates American government and bureaucracy, when they should love it, because it gives us amazing things like “politicians voting unanimously to conduct a genocide, but over there, in the far away country, so we don’t have to see it.”

I’m surprised I haven’t seen more people trying to defend her with “Arabs are sexist, if you support arabs(HAMAS!) you are sexist, therefore they just hate a #girlboss.” I’m sure it’s out there, I just haven’t seen it.

There was a thread recently in the awful “Leopards Ate My Face” .world comm that falsely claimed that the majority of Arab voters had voted for Trump and there were people in there talking about 2016 and saying that they voted against their own interests because these backwards brown people were just too sexist to vote for a woman. Despite the fact that a majority of Muslims voted for a woman president in both 2016 and 2024.

The thread was eventually removed, after I responded to like every comment saying it’s misinformation and calling out some of the just mask off racism that libs do whenever they feel like they have a pass. But those sorts of takes are definitely out there.
