    I do agree in the sense that the few times I’ve gone to the theaters over the last 5 or so years there is always someone doing something inconsiderate. I do prefer to watch films at home to avoid the cost and annoyance.

    That being said, some films that are played which are new can be fun in a social, casual experience. Throwback cult-classics on the big screen can be fun to watch in a group too with people throwing out their favorite lines, like for The Big Lebowski.

    The bigger problem is that I haven’t seen any serious films released in theaters recently that demand serious conditions for watching since Roma (2018), which I watched in a small, artsy theater anyway.
